We understand that there are a number of reasons why a student may need to cancel their room assignment. Students may be released from their assignment if they meet the conditions of the housing agreement, and complete the required documentation to withdraw or take a leave of absence from Furman.
Residents may cancel a room assignment prior to enrolling for the fall or spring semester without incurring a cost. However, after a student has enrolled for the semester and paid for their room assignment, housing costs are non-refundable.
To officially withdraw from the University, you must follow our move-out procedures within 48 hours of your date of withdrawal.
