Student Organizations

Furman has more than 160 student organizations-and counting. Join a rock band. Report, write and communicate through one of our student media organizations. Debate your peers in mock trials. Whatever draws your interest, you’ll find a group of students you can connect with. If not, find a few students who share your interest and start your own club, like our Super Smash Bros. video game club, which gained more than 50 members in its first year.

Learn about our conduct procedures and view recent conduct histories for organizations. Read the student organization conduct report.

Heller Service Corps

Essential to the Furman experience—both in and out of the classroom—is preparation for a life of consequence and meaning. Heller Service Corps, our largest student organization, encourages an in-depth commitment to the community.

Fraternity & Sorority Life

We practice a deferred recruitment, which takes place in January, to give you a chance to get settled, make new friends and adjust academically before making a lifelong commitment to an organization.

Student Media Outlets

Want to feel the excitement of pursuing history? Learn how to report, write and communicate through one of our student media organizations. No matter what you’re pursuing, you’ll develop communication skills that will benefit you in any career.
