The May Experience is an optional three-week term following the spring semester that allows students to explore topics across many different departments in courses that are not offered in other terms during the academic year. May Experience courses earn two credits!

Students can choose from:

1) a wide variety of experiential learning courses on Furman’s campus (the On-Campus May Experience). The tuition cost for May Experience courses is included in the comprehensive fee for the Spring semester.

2) study-away programs that take students to destinations around the world. Applications for study-away programs are made through Furman’s Rinker Center for Study Away and International Education, with an application deadline the preceding November.
